The Square Side Table disappears into the fabric of the environment in which it inhabits. The geometric form carves out space that has not yet been defined — occupying that fragmented in-between moment in a room. Neither distracting nor bold the square side table exists in the background. The solid wood rectangular frame sits on a sculptural metal base. Expanding on the notion of objectifying clutter that was originally explored with the Steel Wood Table, the tall and narrow storage area is left exposed. The rectangular shape allows the opening to be directed by the user.
